Most aircraft owners do not have much experience in their aircraft.  Now that you meet the minimums to be a private
pilot,or a new IFR pilot, do not dismiss the use of an instructor.  Becoming a proficient pilot takes years of experience
and extensive training.  Statistically, low time aircraft owners do not manage their risk effectively.  Many insurance
companies want you to have hundreds of hours of total time before rates start to drop significantly (insurance quotes
differ with each individual).  Whether it is insurance minimums, inexperience, or are in need of a little more self
confidence, consider hiring an instructor and putting them on your insurance with you.  It might be the cheapest
insurance you purchase.

Consider this for a single, or twin engine purchase:

  • Purchase or transfer your aircraft under a limited liability company (this is simple, inexpensive and also limits
your liability in case of an accident)
  • Bring me on as an independent instructor - build your confidence while managing risk with an experienced,
    competent, professional flight instructor
  • Include me on your insurance policy
  • I instruct you as long as necessary
  • Significant tax write-offs for an LLC (ask your accountant)

Insurance companies set minimums for a reason.  Consider managing risk with an instructor and avoid becoming a
statistic.  I can offer you flight instruction at a monthly salary rate, an hourly rate, or a flat rate for the block of hours
you desire.  We can also make an agreement trading aircraft use for dual instruction.  I am flexible.
